ABSTRACT
The article reports on the initiative of the Port of Tacoma in Washington, SSA Marine and the Puyallup Tribe of Indians to corroborate in a series of agreements involving land exchanges, berth and land leases, and the widening of the Blair Waterway, the 51-foot-deep channel that provides vessel access to the site. The agreement consist of squaring off the property lines to permit more efficient operations when the terminals are developed.
