ABSTRACT
The article reports on the Climate Action Plan of Colorado regarding the expansion of its renewable and energy-efficiency resources. The plan aims to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases to 20 percent by 2020 and 80 percent by 2050. It establishes breakthroughs in energy storage techniques which will promote expanded use of both wind and solar energy. It also focuses on the immense capacities of geothermal and hydropower as renewable sources of energy in the United States. The CLimate Action Plan is seen to result to the creation of jobs, clearing of air, reduction of greenhouse gases emission, and security of energy sources.
