The article presents information on the possible threats from Russian and Chinese forces to the U.S. Navy. It is reported that the Russian overflight of U.S. forces operating near Guam in August 2007 has brought once again the issue of U.S Naval preparedness on the fore. It is further reported that the building of new defense systems by the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) is another threat.
