ABSTRACT
The article reports that Verizon Communications has sued Charter Communications due to its infringement of Verizon's eight patents that relate the provision of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls in Texas. Verizon is asking for a court order that would block Charter from using VoIP related technology. It also seeks unspecified cash compensation from Charter for using such technology without permission.
