ABSTRACT
The article reports that rent-to-own business Aaron Rents Inc.'s 2007 fourth-quarter revenues rose 14.3% but profits dropped over 18% due to increased operating costs and an aggressive store-opening program. Total revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 were $388.6 million, of which $285 million originated from rentals and fees. Net income of $15.5 million in the fourth quarter was down from $19 million in 2006.
