ABSTRACT
The article reports on the marketing efforts of electronic retailers to promote products for Mother's Day in the United States. Some of the online gift retailers that have launched marketing efforts are Blue Nile, Giftcertificates.com and cooking.com. In 1999, online spending in the gift category jumped 322 per cent during the week of Mother's Day compared to a baseline week.
