GM crafts new platform for trucks

Reports that General Motors will replace its small-truck platform to create a host of future mid-sized sport-utilities, compact pickups and other truck derivatives worldwide. Use of GMT360 platform for the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Jimmy; GMT355, a redesign of the small-truck platform to provide underpinnings of the 2003 Chevrolet S10 and GMC Sonoma compact pickups.
