ABSTRACT
This article reports on the efforts of advertising agency BBDO Worldwide to enhance its strategic planning services department with several appointments as of April 2000. The new planning team includes William Charnock as senior VP-group director, Anthony Aconis as associate group director, Mary Winter as senior VP-planning and research director and Gavin Thompson as associate group director. In the past, BBDO's research department got involved with the creative branch only after the work had been produced. With the new arrangement, BBDO creatives will be working with planners at the start of a project. According to company executive Matt Seiler, planning at BDO is catching on since launching the department.
