ABSTRACT
The article denounces the suppression of pornography to protect women, as advocated by political activist Phyllis Schlafly. Schlafly argues that the addiction caused by pornography perpetuates the cycle of abuse against women. She also claims that pornography provokes sexual violence. Weaknesses in Schlafly's claims are cited. The implications of banning pornography for free speech and consumer rights are discussed.
