ABSTRACT
The article discusses the topics discussed at the FarmSafe farm forestry course presented in December 2007 in Wellington, New Zealand. The course focused on safety in the work area. The course tutor was Paul Sharland, and he also presented the list of causes of farm forester injuries which include being struck by an object including chainsaws, lifting and straining, slips, trips and falls, among others. The workshop also include awareness plans and developing safety awareness plans, as well as a group discussion on direct and indirect cost of injuries and casual factors.
