ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs on the utilities industry in Europe. Annual electricity prices in Great Britain ended 2007 at year highs, with April 08 Annual remaining above £52/MWh and October 08 Annual above £51/MWh, as prices have shown very little movement since mid-December. Domestic gas prices in Russia are expected to rise by about 150 per cent by 2011. BP, in association with Petroleum Economist, has published a comprehensive guide to the technology and issues behind carbon capture and storage.
