ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs relevant to television broadcasting in the U.S. as of February 2008. CBS News veteran and executive chairman of Viacom which owns MTV Networks, Bob Schieffer stepped up for Sumner Redstone who was featured honoree at a gala at the Waldorf-Astoria at the 2008 Paley Center for Media gala. Several Comcast cable television companies began to occupy its headquarters in downtown Philadelphia such as CN8, FearNET and PBS Kids Sprout.
