Leaner AirBoss adds shift, mixer at plants

The article reports that the custom compounder and rubber product maker AirBoss of America Corp. has replaced its largest mixer at the firm's Kitchener, Ontario, plant to improve quality and consistency. The firm made the move over the Christmas holidays, and the new mixer went on line January 4, 2008. The cost of the upgrade wasn't revealed. According to Robert Dodd, vice president of compounding, the company recently completed an industry study and found AirBoss at No. 2 in North America.
