ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs concerning innovations in medical technology research and applications as of March 2006. The increasing development of telemedicine applications and hardware is described, highlighting cell phones that test blood sugar and other medical broadband communications. The development of an implanted sensor to monitor heart aneurysms is described. A device that digitally tracks medication use by monitoring container utilization is also cited.
