ABSTRACT
The article announces that IBM Corp. is developing a risk management system for Chinese firm, Guotai Junan Securities, in cooperation with Algorithmics of Toronto. According to Colin Lawrence, China risk management leader of IBM, implementation has started with the first phase to be finished by February 29, 2008. The system will prepare Guotai Junan for future index trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, which will begin in 2008 on five stock exchanges.
