ABSTRACT
This article examines the inadvertent retention of angled drill guides after volar locking plate fixation of distal radial fractures. Presented are three case reports involving patients in whom the angled drill guides were retained after surgery. The research was done at the Partners Orthopedic Trauma Service, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
