ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the McTimoney Chiropractic pioneered by John McTimoney. The approach is based on the thorough assessment of an individual, focusing on structural subluxations and the overall well-being of an individual. Its aim is to energize the body's self-healing capacity and facilitate optimum healing. McTimoney begins as a student trainee by one of the graduates from Palmar School of Chiropractic in 1950. He was a believer of holism and thinks that the problem in one area of the body is caused by the other area. Thus, the McTimoney approach is a whole-body treatment incorporating light force adjustments. Today, the McTimoney Chiropractic Association (MCA) is one of the biggest name in the field of chiropractic in Great Britain.
