ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the results of an online poll which was conducted by Harris Interactive of Rochester, New York and which was concerned with food allergies. The survey was conducted on 2,853 U.S. adults of whom 615 had a family member with food allergies. It found that four out of ten food allergy sufferers have experienced allergic reactions because of a lack of information about food which they planned to eat or inaccurate information about the food, despite asking questions about the food and making others aware of their allergies.
