Industrial Laser Solutions;Feb2008, Vol. 23 Issue 2, p22
The article focuses on the application of laser beam welding of thermoplastic components in the U.S. It is said that this processing method has become well-established in a wide range of industrial applications. It is also stated that transmission laser welding in the overlap configuration is the recognized procedure when using diode, Nd:YAG or fiber lasers. Furthermore, the paper discusses several industrial applications of laser beam welding and its process.
