ABSTRACT
The article profiles Freightliner LLC, producer of heavy-duty trucks in North America. It is said that the company started its manufacturing operations in 1942, with its aluminum-framed semi-tractors acquired by Daimler-Benz in 1981. Moreover, aside from its popularity for its namesake semi-tractors, the company also manufactures a broad product line that includes medium-duty trucks, school buses and custom chassis.
