The article discusses the security lapses found in two episodes of the television program "MythBusters." They include the failure of the program's hosts to consider the importance of the personal identification number in biometric lock tests. It likewise examines the misunderstood concepts in passive infrared sensors by differentiating infrared energy from thermal energy. The significance of the association between a moving body and a sound or light wave on ultrasonic motion sensors is considered.
