ABSTRACT
The article reports on the launching of Yahoo! on its mobile widget gallery on January 07, 2008 while making its Yahoo! Go platform available to third party developers to add their own widgets. Adam Taggart, a product marketing director for Yahoo! Mobile states that the company wanted to open the platform to drive more innovation. The new release also includes snippets that preview Web content such as news headlines and weather and can also be customized.
