ABSTRACT
This article reports on the increase in worldwide PC microprocessor shipments for the fourth quarter of 2007, according to market research firm IDC. Worldwide shipments of PC microprocessors grew 8.5 percent, as growth in overall unit shipments and stable average selling prices stimulated overall market revenue to grow 9.6 percent to $8.7 billion. Shipments of PC server processors grew 17 percent, while mobile PC processor shipments grew 10.3 percent.
