ABSTRACT
The article reports on the result of the study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) which focuses on reviewing the cost of TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS) program of the Department of Defense (DOD). It provides a comparison on the TRS cost provided by the DOD in 2005 and 2006 based on Blue Cross and Blue Shield premium adjustments. It reveals that premiums payed by reservists in each tier showed an excess of percentage on the average cost per plan of providing benefits.
