DirecTV Tackles Rural Station Concern

The article reports on the new tuner of DirecTV that will allow subscribers to pick up the over-the-air signals of local TV stations. It is stated that a letter was sent by DirecTV to the Federal Communications Commission in response to broadcast groups in Kansas, North Dakota, and Texas. These groups want the satellite provider to be required to offer local TV signals in every U.S. market. It is also said that DirecTV is offering so-called local-to-local service that delivers local broadcast signals by satellite.
