ABSTRACT
The article reports on the figures released on January 28, 2008 by the Department of Commerce indicating that the December 2007 new single-family home sales were down 4.7% from November 2007 and 40.7% below the December 2006 mark. In addition, the seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of December was 495,000.
