ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index, which has been seesawing down from 99.5 since September 2007, fell again in January 2008 in the U.S. Intricately, the Index now stands at 87.9 (1985=100), down from 90.6 in December 2007. The Consumer Confidence Survey is based on a representative sample of 5,000 U.S. households, conducted for The Conference Board by TNS. INSET: Consumer confidence.
