The article reports on a memorandum circulated to Ikea AB employees in Sweden which signals a change in retail strategy. The memo sent by Ikea chief executive officer (CEO) and president Anders Dahlig stated that the company will focus on in-store shopping. Dahlig cited that the high costs associated with electronic commerce as the reason for the change in strategy. Spokesperson Mona A. Liss confirmed the authentication of the memo but said Ikea is not discontinuing electronic commerce.
