ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the deployment of femtocells, a home-based cellular base station that provides 3.5GHz coverage inside a home. One of the advantages of femtocells includes improved indoor signal quality using the same spectral frequency as a carrier's cellular network. The challenges in the deployment of femtocells include competing technologies, interference with macro and micro base, and the need for a broadband connection to backhaul into the network.
