ABSTRACT
The article reports that Discovery Holding Co. (DHC) has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Advance/Newhouse Communications that will consolidate their stakes in Discovery Communications Inc. (DCI). DHC holds a 66.7-percent interest in DCI while Advance holds the rest. DHC will be combined with a new publicly traded entity tentatively called NewCo. to which Advance will contribute its DCI stake in exchange for stock in NewCo.
