ABSTRACT
The article reports on the dispute between John Malone, chairman of both Liberty Global and Liberty Media, and the U.S. Justice Department over the approval of Liberty Media's takeover of pay television DirecTV in Puerto Rico. The Justice Department is concerned about competition since Liberty Global owns Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico and competes with DirecTV Latin America, which is 86-percent owned by DirecTV.
