Mercedes brings rivals on road trip

This article deals with the M-Class Power Trip event held by Mercedes-Benz (MB) USA as of March 20, 2000. This ride-and-drive initiative aims to increase the competition in the sports-utility vehicle (SUV) category and it also allows MB to show off the capabilities of its trio of M-Class SUV. The event gives the clients and prospective clients of MB the opportunity to really look at the vehicle up close and put it through its paces along with other competitors. The M-Class Power Trip offers three courses--the Learn & Drive Course, the Off-Road Course and the Hot-Lap Course. Consumers also can test the X5 from BMW of North American, Land Cruiser from Toyota Motor Sales USA and the Lexus RX300, a sister Toyota brand.
