ABSTRACT
This article reports on the decision of L-1 Identity Solutions to acquire Bioscrypt Inc. in 2008. The deal would give L-1 a position in both the biometric physical and logical access control space as well as far more exposure to the commercial market than it currently has. Robert LaPenta, chairman, president and chief executive officer of L-1, expressed his optimism about the outcome of the deal.
