ABSTRACT
The article reports on the tentative collective bargaining agreement reached by the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for a new three-year contract effective July 1, 2008. The new contract covers increases in new media rights, including jurisdiction and compensation for original and derivative content appearing on the Internet.
