Mordos moves up at BBDO to take administrative reins

This article profiles Jeff Mordos, chief operating officer (COO) of BBDO New York. Mordos earned an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, New York in psychology, then decided to pursue a career in business. He took his masters in business administration at California State University in Sacramento, California before accepting a post at Compton Advertising. A year after, he joined Marschalk Co. as an account supervisor for Coca-Cola's Five Alive and Minute Maid brands. It was not until 1994 that Mordos joined BBDO to help handle the Pepsi-Cola account. From there, he attained his current post as COO, where he will be overseeing the administrative and financial operations of the advertising firm. Mordos will also be involved in both short-range and long-tern strategies such as account profit planning, development of human resources and evaluating investment opportunities for BBDO.
