ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the annual Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase at Tucson Electric Park (TEP) and its contribution to the local economy in Arizona. The showcase will have more than 50,000 visitors from different countries and it will take effect on February 2-17, 2008. In 2007, the Metropolitan Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau (MTCVB) made an update on its economic analysis of the event and its contribution to the economy is now $100 million.
