ABSTRACT
The article features SimpleFeed, a feed management application services provider included in "Red Herring's" top 100 list for 2007. The company is based in Los Altos, California. It was founded in 2004. Its chief executive officer (CEO) is Mark Carlson. One of its key investors is Sequoia Capital. SimpleFeed's premise is to turn a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed, usually used for non-commercial purposes like browsing headlines, into a tool corporations can use to communicate with customers, business partners, and prospects. The company customizes RSS for corporate use and promote it as impervious to the pitfalls of email, like phishing.
