ABSTRACT
The article features entertainment/media company Melodeo of Seattle, Washington. Its chief executive officer (CEO) is Jim Billmaier. Its key investors are GF Capital Management, ignition, Intel Capital, and Voyager Capital. Melodeo lets users download more than 150,000 audio podcasts to their mobile phones. The company claims its Mobilcast downloadable application works with 90 percent of current mobile phones on the market. It is also setting up a joint venture in China with Warner Music Group, Sony BMG, and Access, and recently launched a music service that streams a user's iTunes library to their phone.
