ABSTRACT
This article features Seattle, Washington-based Experticity, a technology company included in "Red Herring's" top 100 list for 2007. D. L. Barron is the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, which has 15 employees. Its key investors are Portland Trust and Jammbid General Partners. Experticity's software lets remote-based staff in one market or call center help overworked staff in another via face-to-face video--improving customer service, increasing sales, and reducing costs. Its business model offers multiple opportunities for revenue such as charging per-month and per-screen subscriptions and per-minute connection fees, as well as generating sales from contextual ads generated on a customer's computer or mobile device.
