Trade Publication
The article features Palo Alto, California-based EchoSign, a technology company included in "Red Herring's" top 100 list for 2007. Jason Lemkin is the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, which has 12 employees. Its key investors are Storm Ventures, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. EchoSign glories in paperwork, it tracks contracts through signing and filing. Though technically a Web 2.0 company, EchoSign relies a fair amount on faxing. The rest is done through Portable Document Format (PDF) creation, electronic mail (email), and document management. To date, only 60,000 users have signed up for EchoSign's free services.
