ABSTRACT
The article focuses on culture vulture Ardy Khazaei who launched MyHound.com, a free Web site that offers email alerts on the album and book releases, concerts, tour dates, and other events connected to the favorite artists of the Web site's users. Khazaei was a former consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton, he then went on to work as an executive at Times Mirror, the publisher of the "Los Angeles Times," and for six years oversaw most of the digital businesses at HarperCollins. The free site has begun to generate revenue by using Google Adsense, but MyHound also is considering sponsorships. At present, Khazaei is making the rounds of angel investors and early-stage venture capitalists.
