ABSTRACT
The article reports on the expectation by industry experts of a fuller evidence to emerge in the 2007 mortgage market in Great Britain, despite the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) revealing records. CML says gross lending has reached an estimated £362 billion the said year, a rise of 5% from the £345 billion seen in 2006. However, pundits think the Bank of England will unveil a more accurate picture of the market's performance with its net mortgage lending figures in the future.
