ABSTRACT
The article discusses some happenings taking place in the workyard of an Israeli Kibbutz children's house. The workyard is full of junk and contains big and small objects that are movable in enriching dynamically the children's activity. It nurtures the foundation of all learning and encourages the process of acting with objects to develop thinking. Many items in the workyard denotes the fact that it belongs to a particular landscape and community with a particular way of life. Moreover, the yard offers more opportunities for psychomotor, emotional, social and intellectual growth than any other playground can provide.
