The article reports on the potential consequences of the decision of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to cancel the live telecast of the 65th annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, California, on January 13, 2008 due to the writers' strike. It notes that the decision will not only affect the revenues of HFPA and National Broadcasting Company Inc. as its exclusive broadcaster, but also on the promotion of nominated films as well as on the stars themselves.
