The article reports on the significance of the retirement of Charlie Dietz, technical operations for Insight Communication Inc., and the resignation of Charles Giancarlo, Chief Development Officer of Cisco Systems Inc. Dietz spearheaded the launching of Insight on phone services in 2000 and led the pioneering move into video-on-demand and interactive services. Meanwhile, Giancarlo resigned to pursue new professional opportunities.
