ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the implications of Internet video access into television (TV) monitors on the progression of TV. Several companies including Panasonic, Sony and Philips showed prototype TV sets which offer easy access to Web video. Motorola, Cisco and NDS presented next-generation set-top boxes aimed at the converged market. Meanwhile, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates discussed new services during his 11th and final keynote at Consumer Electronics Show including wideband and Fancast.
