ABSTRACT
The article offers information on botulism, a disease that can be caused by accidental or deliberate exposure to botulinum toxins. Food-borne botulism usually follows ingestion of home preserved meat, fish or vegetables. Wound botulism, intestinal colonization botulism, and accidental botulism are also described. According to the article, recovery from botulism may require extensive rehabilitation.
