ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview of a study on the Internet use by merchant acquirers in the U.S. in 2008. It has found that 64% of the respondents asserted that they have no plans over the next two years to introduce online statements and 45% have opposed e-mail. Several graphs showed the percentage of their client-facing applications are Web-based, and it is likely in the next 24 hours (hrs) they will introduce new capabilities.
