Points of View: Border Walls;2017, p1
The article discusses various issues concerning border wall in the U.S. The U.S. Congress passed the Secure Fence Act in 2006, which mandated the Department of Homeland Security to establish a barrier along the Mexican border. Supporters of the border wall expect that the wall will address the flow of illegal immigrants and drug smugglers into the U.S. On the other hand, the Roman Catholic Church opposes the wall due to humanitarian reasons.
