ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the identification of leadership potential. Assessment of a potential leader through a listing of personal qualities can be misleading and a two-strand helix model is suggested which makes use of gauges such as people acumen and business acumen. Indicators of leadership potential include seeing things in a broader perspective, must be passionate and ethical, must have a balanced judgment and an ability to synthesize and can prioritize.
